Senior Portrait Session with Sam

October is a popular time of year for outdoor photo shoots, especially senior portraits, due to the changing colors of the fall leaves. On this particular autumn day, I met with Sam at the Canoe Livery on Cherry St., in downtown Canal Fulton, Ohio to begin our photo session. This area of the historic town offers many great scenic backdrops for outdoor pictures, including trees, a river, a gravel path, railroad tracks, and brick roads, colorful doorways, and more.
What made this photo session so unique, is that when we met in the parking lot at 4pm, it was raining. Not a lot, but raining nontheless. In fact, it had been raining for two days now, but I drove there with the hope that the clouds would part and the sun would shine by the time I got there. But it did not. While we contemplated the option of rescheduling for another day, we decided to give it a go and see what we ended up with. And I must say... for shooting in the rain, the results were pretty good! Take a look.
